even though i'm sure that i'll continue to complain and whine about how much it sucks to be a (potential) attorney, i learned today that this is the career i want and, if i can be so bold, perhaps meant for..

today, i came to an answer to an issue i've been wrestling with since i started here. when i was on that train of thought and right before i came to that final conclusion, i was so giddy and excited. it seriously is a feeling that i wouldn't trade for the world. even though i know i'll have a million sucky days and only a handful of these eye-opening, by-george-i-think-i-got-it days, i can't imagine a better feeling.

i know, i know. i'm a nerd. so what? so are you.

on another note, you'd think that at a law firm, they'd be a little bit more..what's the word?..aware about issues like..um, sexual harrassment. my partner commented on my shirt and said it was very nice and looked like a shirt to wear out in the evening. here is the remaining exchange:

me: actually, it's a dress, but i wear it like a shirt.
him: (disbelievingly) stand up.
me: (standing up, indicating a high slit) it's a little weird so i don't like it as a dress.
him: you should wear it as a dress, it's hot. (walks away)
me: (nervous giggle)

yea, that's work for ya.

difference btwn JD's and me, part II

jd's go to small firm reception to actually try and score a job or contact. i go for the free coffee.. mmmmmMmMmMmm~

allergic to allergy medicine...

i've had an allergic reaction to something in the air.. not sure what the heck it is, but it's been going on for at least a week now. it's really annoying, all the sneezing, runny nose and watery eyes and stuff..

anyway, i thought i'd get some medicine last night because it was particularly bothersome and i needed to sleep to get to work early in the morning. so i went to sav-on, bought myself some benadryl. i read the instructions and it said to take 1 to 2 for adults. as is my custom, i took 2.

almost immediately my bottom lip formed a huge pulsating bump that kinda looked like a cold sore, but wasn't. it eventually went away, so i didn't think much of it. the bottle said it may cause drowsiness so i was excited for a well-rested night.

little did i know the bottle also said that it may cause excitability. i donno what the crap that means, but i'm assuming that me being up all last night tossing and turning and wanting to crawl out of my skin because i was so dap dap hae was it. i was so sleepy that i was crying, but i still could not fall asleep.

needless to say, i had to call in sick this morning. i doubted that i could make it through the day, let alone freakin drive to work for an hour. i was so out of it i literally slept ALL day. i woke up for an hour from like 3-4, did some reading for work then fell back asleep and didn't get out of bed until about 7.

never again am i taking any stupid allergy medicine. i will live with the annoyance, thank you very much.

jae, you wanna buy my benadryl off me? it was freakin $15! xP i'll give it to you for $10. x)

wearing the pants..

last night, there was a big cockroach running around our apt. seriously, that sucker was HUGE. haerie starts screaming and demanding kevin to kill it or at least cup it. kevin starts screaming like a little girl and ran into my room, so i had to go out there and deal with it, all the while the three little girls are screaming like..little girls. (this includes kevin, just in case one of my slow readers missed that)

anyway, i 409'ed it and then got a jar and trapped it. crazy sucker starts climbing up into the jar, so i flipped it real fast and drowned it in 409. it twitched for a little while before it died.. i felt really bad, but what could i do?

but something weird happened. i was looking at the cockroach through the clear bottom, and it looked like it had puked it guts out.. you know? almost like how ppl vomit when they get poisoned? it was shocking. and to make it an even more strange, the cockroach had become enlarged.. it looked twice its original size. does that mean that the 409 diffused into his body??

my life is o-so-exciting, yes?
