i don't think i realized the gravity of a hurricane until i read the headlines today. katrina ripped through louisiana and alabama with a vengeance. the death toll is unknown, but they fear the worst. please take time to pray for them..

*sigh* it's like i never learn. i've been justifying my lack of prayer by saying that things are "fine" and there isn't anything extremeley prayer-worthy happening..in my life. i am so self-centered. this is why my walk is so shaky when things are ok. when things are ok, i'm content and forget to pray. i'm so ignorant to the things that go on around me.. and i claim i dislike ignorance.

Lord, please help me to remember those who are struggling. Lord please help me to focus outside of my insignificant existence. I pray all these things in Your Heavenly name.. Amen.

i bought a laptop! an hp dv-something or other. so far, it's good. kind of heavy, but maybe i need the exercise.

someone stole our kitty. can you believe that???? i'm so sad... but not as sad as my dad. i heard him wake up numerous times last night to go outside and look for the kitty. he really liked that one.

what are you doing here?

that was the question i answered about 100 times this weekend. but it was so good. i got to see my kids. i got to visit kcpc. i got to see old faces. met some new faces. x) good times.

then it was time for tahoe. wow, the lake was so beautiful. (pictures later, although.. we didn't take too many of them) i also went horseback riding and kayaking for the first time in my life. it was so much fun. i had SO much FUN!

now.. i'm at work. *sigh*
