so my boss thinks it's funny to freak me out.
yesterday i had a huge project. i was supposed to take 50 pages of some immigration process and boil it down to 2 pages so that clients could understand this info intelligently. i was already stressed as it was b/c i was doing this for the big kahuna who's not as forgiving as the dork-boss who likes to torture me. so anyway, i worked on it all day. (in between reading xangas and talkin online, of course).. anyway, i turned in something that i thought was pretty crappy (b/c i was just freaked out man.. the big kahuna's always lecturing me.. -___-) anyway, so i just had enough time to print it out and turn it in before it was time to leave.
this morning i walked in and the first thing dork-boss says is: "big kahuna read through what you did yesterday, and he wants you to do it again. (my heart sank, but i was resolved to make this into a learning experience) he was not pleased at all. (heart skipped a beat) frankly he's surprised and he was wondering if you're really a law student. (waaaaaaaat??? :( heart plummeted) actually, i read through it too, and it's pretty shabby work. (omg~ i'm so getting fired! dork-boss is usually nice and compliment'y! this musta been really bad.. AHHHHH!) hahahahaa, i'm just kidding did i freak you out?" -__-;;
on tues, i had to go to the court (remember?) and i came back and told my boss that i was only going to work one more hour because i went to the cthouse early and so i was going to leave after my usual 4 hours were up. and he looked very straight in my face and said, "no, i only allotted you 2 hours for the courthouse. you don't get compensated for any time you stay over." and for some reason, i know that they can't not pay me for work i've already done, but i thought that i wasn't going to get paid. so.. i got a little freaked and pissed at the same time. i think i looked a little tense too cuz he was like, "haha, i'm just kidding.."
